Are they the only ones privy to the "secret" hisory of Audition?

i went back into the site i mentioned in my first post and they come out with these 'teasers'....

* The SECRET HISTORY of "Adobe Audition" and how it can help you create great subliminal recordings

Blimey! That's a good one! We do have a thread here with a few things that we know that aren't in the documentation. There are two other things that you need to be aware of: The first is covered quite adequately in this thread, and the second is to note that David Johnston, CEP/AA's creator is also a member and occasional contributor to this forum. We've all been pulling CEP/AA to bits for years, and I can tell you for nothing that there are a few wrinkles to the SW, but a) they don't have anything to do with creating subliminal recordings, and b) if you tried hard enough, you'd find them for yourself. The only thing that I can think that they'd put a 'secret' spin on is the fact that all of that stuff that David wrote that I reproduced above has been left out of the present handbook, and the tool renamed. Largely, I think that this is because the overall image of the SW has gone somewhat upmarket, and quite frankly, all that stuff looks, er, just a tad geeky. (sorry, David...)

*  "Stereo confusion" and how it can instantly DOUBLE the number of subliminal messages in a recording

*  Why one little-known "compression" technique can QUADRUPLE the effectiveness of your recording!

Are these 'nuggets' lead-ins to info I could find out without having to buy their programme do you think

It seems as if I'm most of the way there already with the software it's just finding out how to use it all effectively.

I'd say that most of what they said amounts to terminal BS, and that you could find out just as effectively as they could what works best. I find it to be rather implausible, to say the very least,  that there's any more seriously useful information about these techniques that can't be found for free.

Thanks again Steve...you've given me great hope that the "truth is out there" and I don't really have to go too far to find it instead of parting with a fistful of dollars for info already in the public domain.  It does irk me when companies come out with that "terminal BS"..so I say thank God for forums such as this and for people such as yourself who are prepared to lead us "newbies" in the right direction. Hi Steve (or others),
A couple of questions..

In the generate tones box can you please tell me (or point me in the right direction for information) more details about the following features:

1.  Frequency components.

2.  Phasing

3.  DC offset.

Also, Binaural beats are generated by having two different frequencies at particular pitch.  Can you please tell me where I put in the two different frequencies..or should they go in the base frequency and modulation frequency boxes ?  I just want to understand the way this propgramme creates them so then I know what I'm doing and the reason behind it.

If there is any other info you can provide me with regarding this feature then I'd be grateful.

Thanks again.

Hi Steve

Looking back over this thread today and noticed that  on June 06, 2005, 08:42:31 PM you posted a download link for subliminal scripts.  When I clicked on the link I was asked for user name and password which I don't have   sad

Are the scripts still available for download ?

Not at the ftp site, that's for sure. That version of it got garbled, and when the site got rebuilt last, they weren't there then. Somewhere I think that I may still have them, but I have no idea where.
