One of the things that prompted me to jump ship to Reaper way back (chiefly for editing live multitrack recordings) was its ripple editing features. A partly working ripple editing feature was subsequently added to Audition, but it didn't seem to me to be nearly up to the competition. Has that been properly implemented yet (I wonder out of academic interest, being kind of out of the DAW loop these days)? I don't see it mentioned in your linked article.

WTG!!! Clip Grouping - Session Export Enhancements - Preference to save all files with Sessions. Now I need to build a PC strong enough to power all this again.....

CS6 runs faster than AA1.5 on my super overclocked water cooled beast - I think you will be surprised at the responsiveness of CS6
But yes faster is always better
