Hello gang,

I must say, I am glad I found this forum, everything is so well organized and the user interface is great. Using AA3 but instructions for AA2 will do. Here is my dilemma:

After reading many positive reviews about the BCF2000 and the price I couldn't say no to the deal. I bought it and it is what I really wanted. Although a lot of the reviews commented about the poor material and design I guess it is me, but I am very happy with it, the construction is pretty descent and I guess unless you are planning on dropping it or something else, for the 195.00 that I paid so far I am very happy.

I've been using the BCF2000 with Cubase AI 4 and it is working great, but to be honest I do prefer AA, and I do have the upgrade AA3. However, after going through your postings, the internet and the Behringer web site, I can't find document that shows you how to set the BCF2000 to work with Audition. I did find the .pdf file that was posted at the adobe website from Alan and Peter, but can't figure out how to do the program itself. I did the firmware upgrades and did follow suggestions from the website.

I started the BCF2000 on MCSo mode, edit, and when you try to change the volume with fader1, you will not see the change in the AA mixer and immediately the Fader in the controller goes back to the zero position or whatever position its in the mixer. I can change the mixer via mouse in AA and the BCF2000 will move, but if I try to change the mixer in the BCF2000, it will return back to the position its was showing in AA3.

The settings in AA were selected as BCF2000[1] In/Out. Did try to edit the buttons but nothing. Then playing with the BCF2000, I decided to change the start-up mode and did try with no. 2 which is the MCC mode, to my surprise the faders did work this time and the knobs will change the left/right audio but that is it, I can't not edit any other of the buttons.

I know the BCF2000 has been out for a long time and I will imagine that a AA setup for dummies (like me) would be out by now but I can't find it.

Any help, suggestions will greatly be appreciated.

Using Windows XP SP2.

Thank you so much. If you need any other information, plz, let me know as I really need to find out what I can do. The BCF2000 manual is too complex and don't tell me much.  smiley

I'm afraid I can't work out what you mean here. Where in AA did you select BCF2000[1] In/Out? What do you mean by "edit the buttons"?

In any case here is what you should do:-

After updating the firmware and placing the BCF into MCSo mode, connect to the PC via USB (MIDI connections don't seem to work too well).

In AA Preferences>External Controllers>External Control Device select Mackie Control.

Click "Configure"

Under MIDI Input Device choose USB Audio Device, similarly for MIDI Output Device. Don't select any [1], [2] or [3] option.

Under "Mackie Switch" you can't change anything. (There has never been any feedback from Adobe about whether this is an Audition bug or whether the option might work with a real Mackie controller.)

Click OK twice.

Best of luck!

Thank you Alan for your help. I will keep playing around with it, for now, it is doing what I needed it for. What I was referriing to the buttons, like programing the buttons and so on, ex, press one button and that will turn on the "effects" and then by turning you can select what ever you have stored. But I know it can be confusing, hell, sometimes I can't understand what I'm saying.

Take care and will let you know the status.
