Hi Gang:

This is my challegne. I host a podcast where I usually interview a guest by phone. In addition to sending my voice down the phone line via a Telos One hybrid via a mix-minus setup, I'd like my phone guest be able to hear the music bed which contains my show's intro and outro. I'm not sure if I can accomplish this with my current setup.

Here's how I'm currently configured:

--AA 2.0
--Alesis MultiMix 8 FireWire
--Telos One Hybrid

I record in MV with my voice on track one, the caller on track two and the music bed on track three. When I look at the Inputs/Outputs available in the MT view on my music bed, it does not allow me to send audio to specific channels on the mixer -- only to the main out, so I'm a bit lost.

Is it possible to accomplish the above with my current setup? If not, I'd be open to any suggestions you have.

Thanks in advance!!!

There may well be some elegant solution to routing within the firewire system...it would seem silly if there wasn't but who knows.

However, if nobody comes up with such an elegant solution, could we move back to the steam age and run a cable from what ever built-in system sound card you have (Line out) to a spare analogue input of the mixer (again assuming you have one).  Done this way, you could then use one of the Aux feeds on the mixer to set up a mix minus feed to include your mic plus the playback from the PC and feed that to the Telos.

Edit to say that this, of course, depends on at least one of the auxes being pre-fade.  I assume one must be, but have not managed to find confirmation one way or another on the Alesis website.
