Hello ,
This is my first message !
I would like to ask some questions .

Is it possible by using Audition 1.5 to mix songs so we can hear a
song by other voice , sung exactly ??
I heard that modern technology provides us the tools
that we can hear sarah Brighman singing old songs for
example . or we can hear an opera sung by new singer .
Is that possible ?! smiley

Also , if we imported music from CD , can we know the quality or gradation of the CD itself , for example if it is Verbatim or Sony ! or even a remastered ADD or DDD

Thank you in advance Cheesy
Ahmad

I'd suggest that you download the trial version of Audition 1.5 and see whether you can achieve what you have in mind by using the "Centre Channel Extractor" - this can help to remove a voice from an exising recording, leaving the backing, or to do the opposite.  Results are variable.

As for your second question, I think the simple answer is "no".

I may be misreading this, but I don't think he's asking about "vocal cutting". He seems to be asking about "vocal substitution." In which case, the answer is a definite no.

If you use the Centre Channel Extractor to leave only the backing, I guess  you can then substitute a new vocal either by recording it yourself, or by taking the vocal out of another performance (by using the acappella setting of the Centre Channel Extractor) and fitting it into the instrumental backing - with a fair bit of editing and time stretching etc.  - if you really, really wanted to be bothered.

I think we need Ahmad to clarify here, but it sounds to me like he's asking if a specific person's voice can be "emulated" and controlled (like a synth or something).

I may be thinking too grandiosely here, though.Smiley

That's how I read it too.

Moderator Comment:
This thread appears now to be continuing elsewhere - and since I can't combine the threads, I'm locking this one and you should put further replies here instead. The last post here has been answered at the top of the page by Ahmad - I think he hit the wrong button!

Also, this isn't actually an Audition question at all - so I've moved it to General Audio, which is more appropriate.
